Anger, is an irrational emotion, but one all of us experiance none the less. It clouds our minds as many emotions do. I know of many times I've become angry with someone, or something, and for no reason stayed angry.
Now with the debate on health care, or, in my opinion, any political debate, I feel that the issues aren't what are up for grabs. It's who wins, Republicans, or Democrats. That is what really matter, as far as I can tell. I know people who hate politicians, because they're aligned with a different party, and judge people they know, or hear about based on party affiliation. That's just another stereotype, that really doesn't help anything.
Back to the anger, since I've lost interest in politics. Anger, when used correctly, can be productive. You can use it to motivate. I've used it to push myself in sports, or do better in a class because of an angry grade. Just because an emotion seems negative doesn't mean it has to be negative, and can only be used for negative things.

your last paragraph seems to contradict the opening sentence. if anger is irrational then how can it be productive, how can it motivate? perhaps a better opening
ReplyDeleteAnger tends to lead us to irrational behavior. who hasn't lost our temper and said or did something that was just crazy?
