I think people get so mad about healthcare because they feel threatened and vulnerable. The plan now doesn’t cover all Americans and those are the people most on edge. The people at town hall meetings show how much they care about healthcare even though they might not be the most educated or correct. The people just want some kind of affordable health care. I wish people would do their research before getting drawn into the debate, or else they don’t know what’s going on and make signs saying “government out of my medicare!” People get very offended and sensitive when its their well being in jeopardy, and that usually turns into anger, not intelligent and factual debate. All this nonsense about death panels on elderly patients and coverage for illegal immigrants was one of the products of their anger. But sometimes government gets a little too involved in people’s business, no one likes when that happens. Fair coverage for all would be nice, and I would like to personally watch insurance companies and for-profit hospitals hanged and quartered, but I guess that will never happen… Maybe if their lobbyists didn’t have Obama by the scrotum….
