Matthew R. Powell: Anger in the Health Care Debate

health care is most definitely a "hot-button" topic because once people press the button the conversation really "heats up"!!!!  people like to get really angry about this topic because, by nature, humans are selfish, and they always want what is best for THEM, and, since everyone is different, what is best for them is different, so there is bound to be some major friction when people discuss their ideal health care system.  of course there are a few freaks who care about what is best for everyone, but i won't get into that (just kidding they're great people).  and I don't want to point any fingers at Michael Moore (i thot Sicko was a great movie) but Sicko and movies and books and articles like that really get people mad (especially at the government and health care companies)- i.e. "WHY DO FRANCE AND CUBA HAVE SUCH AWESOME HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS AND OURS SUCKS SO MUCH????" or "HOW COME FELONS AND SUSPECTED TERRORISTS GET FREE HEALTH CARE AND I DON'T???" or "I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT COMPANY DENIED THAT PERSON HEALTH CARE AND THEN THEY DIED!!  I NOW LOATHE HEALTH CARE COMPANIES!" and so on and so forth.  health care is such a hot issue because, no matter what the final resolution is, not everyone will b pleased.  somebody's always gonna feel gypped- and when it comes to spending more money, we Americans don't take that too kindly.
