anger

When someone has a differing opinion from that of your own, it is human nature to get angry and defend your position by not always using the nicest of words. Most of us when debating and arguing go immediately to demeaning and insulting words to make our "side" of the issue seem like the better one. But what does this really get us? Nothing. By insulting and putting down other people who don't agree with you, you are only making yourself seem like the stupid one. If all of us just stopped and thought about it for a second we would see that anger gets us nowhere. Anger is a very dangerous thing, it helps no one. Its so easy to quickly jump to the low blows when we are mad but this is just detrimental to ourselves. We accomplish nothing when we insult others or their beliefs. A lot more could be accomplished in the world, whether its foreign affairs, health care, or simply disputes with our friends and family if we handled it logically and without using ugly words or anger. Yes, I know that's cliche, but i truly believe it to be true.
