Autumn is the best time of they year. It's a time of transition, a time of beauty, and a time of peace. My playlist is for the season of Autumn.
Build Me Up Buttercup -The Foundations
-With the new beginnings of Fall (new school year, radical changing of the seasons) come a lot of expectation. This song reminds me of the soemtimes naive enthusiasm for life I feel in the fall. I hope it doesn't let me down.
Ain't No Mountain High Enough -The Temptations
-The new beginning also fosters the feelings of this song. You know that, "I'm on top of the world, nothing can get me down, This is going to be my best year yet," feeling we feel in September before reality sets in? Ain't no mountain high enough!
Sweet Caroline -Neil Diamond
This song has the essence of fall. Its simple brilliance. It's
not superfluous or flashy, it is elegant.
Chicken Fried -Zac Brown Band
Fall is the most beautiful time in Kentucky. The colored leaves paint the landscape with their story, and I can't get enough of it. When I hear this song I think about Kentucky in the fall. Our state is a gorgeous one. A little rough around the edges, sure. But she's ours.
Don't Stop Believing -Journey
For me, Fall is Y-conference seasoon. And nothing elicits a more stark memory of the fall Y-conferences than the joy which ensues in breakout sing-a-long of "Just a small town girl!..."
