the playlist

1. Weezer - Island in the Sun
I don't know about you all, but I'm pretty tired of all the rain and snow and cold. I'm ready for Summer.

2. The Strokes - Someday
A really good song. Listening to this makes me happy. I'm not really sure what the lyrics are (the guy kind of mumbles alot), but I like the beat and stuff.

3. The Avett Brothers - The General Specific
How can something general also be specific? I don't know either. It's a good song, and I like the guy's voice. It's sort of wailing-ish, and you can tell that he puts alot of emotion into it.

4. Paul Simon - Kodachrome
Quote wall...nuff said.

5. Jack Johnson - Do You Remember
Best Jack Johnson song there is. It's just really chill and fun to listen to. The song tells a good story about lasting love, something that you don't really see in the music industry that much.

6. Modest Mouse - Missed the Boat
Discusses the bummer-moments in life, but does it in a upbeat way so that I'm not feeling all sad and mopey after listening to it.

7. Vampire Weekend - A-Punk
99% of the time, I do not know what this guy is saying. But it has a very upbeat sound and quick tempo and the such...just a good song that really lifts the spirits.

8. Ben Lee - Catch my Disease
Pop-y. Fresh. Entertaining. A great example of happy music.

9. The Morning Benders - Waiting for a War
Piano, drums, guitar, xylophone...what more can a guy want in a song? Good lyrics and a good beat. I'd rock to this one.

10. Savage - Swing
Watch Knocked-Up. You'll see.

11. Eric Hutchinson - Rock and Roll
Pretty self-explanatory. Good storytelling element, really relates to alot of young peoples's lives. Maybe.

12. Lil Wayne - Throw it in the Bag
Timeless classic. Lil Wayne makes great use of a great beat. Not good if you don't like profanity though...

13. R.E.M. - At my most Beautiful
Just a really good song. I like the tamborine-it's nice.

14. Fountains of Wayne - The Girl I Can't Forget
Great lyrics. I don't know how he manages to tell such a good story while still rhyming everything together. It's funny too.

15. The Fratellis - Flathead
Very upbeat and energetic. Did you know that the band is made up of three brothers? That would be a pretty fun occupation.

16. Matt Costa - Mr. Pitiful
I like Matt's music. I also think the piano part was the background to a series of Apple commercials. Pretty cool.

17. Death Cab for Cutie - Diamond and a Tether
This band has a pretty weird name. But like they say, weird is generally a good thing. Good beat, nice instrumentation, interesting lyrics = good song.

18. The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Part One
Honestly, I'm only really picking this song because of the the title. I mean, it's a pretty good song...but "Yoshimi Battle the Pink Robots, Part One"? That's epic.

19. The Kooks - She Moves in Her Own Way
I can never stop myself from dancing/dancing to this song. It's just a really happy song with some pretty good lyrics.

20. The Killers - All These Things That I've Done
The band's name is kind of a turn-off, but besides that, I really enjoy their music. This is one of their better songs.

21. Regina Spektor - The Calculation
Great lyrics. Nice beat. Makes me feel good when I listen to it.

22. Geto Boys - Damn it Feels Good To Be a Gangsta
Once again, pretty self-explanatory.

Sorry this is late, but great playlists take time to make.
