I hope you understand the feelings I put into this playlist

“The average day” playlist

1. Moonlight Sonata Mvt. 1 - Ludwig Von Beethoven

This is a relatively quiet and slow song. It is set in a minor key and thus the overall feel of the piece is one of either moodiness or despair. For me this is the song of the morning. When I wake up every morning, I feel terrible and I really don’t want to get out of bed. And until I get to school, I am in a comatose state.

2. 21 Guns - Greenday

On the car ride to school, this song is always on the radio. I mostly listen to 106.3 and at 7:50, almost every other morning, this song comes on. It’s a song about guns but it isn’t all that violent. This is the way I feel about school in the mornings. I feel like pulling out a gun but not using it. This song will usually be stuck in my head from 1st through 3rd hour.

3. Apologize - One Republic

Usually by midday, I have done something that needs apologizing. Usually it is something minor like getting on someone’s nerves or bumping into someone in the hallway or telling a brutally bad joke. Anyhow, I always find myself apologizing about something by midday. But most of the time my apology isn’t accepted. *sigh* Too bad.

4. Flight of the Bumblebee - Rimsky-Korsakov

Hurry, hurry, hurry! As the day starts to come to an end, I find myself often checking the time and willing for the rest of day to rush by at warp speed. This song reflects the “hurry” feeling that I feel at this time of the day.

5. I’ll Make a Man out of You - Lyrics: David Zippel Music: Matthew Wilder

Let's get down to business - to defeat the Huns
Tranquil as a forest
But on fire within
Once you find your center
You are sure to win
Time is racing toward us till the Huns arrive
Heed my every order and you might survive
By the end of day, as I sit down to do my homework, this is what I’m telling my brain. Let’s do this! Let’s get studying and finish all of this homework (aka the Huns)!
