Road Trip

Ah, the open road. No trip with your best friends is complete without a fantastic playlist to accompany those long miles.

1. "Send Me On My Way" by Rusted Root. Regretably, most people recognize this song from the opening scene in Matilda. But it's open, rythmic, and it kind of reminds me of Australia for some reason.

2. "Straight Lines" by Silverchair. Sounds kind of like Coldplay, but with a slightly more rock edge. The kind of song you want to roll down the windows and sing out loud to.

3. "Chicago" by Sufjan Stevens. It's just so open and breezy. Sort of low key, a good scenery-watching song.

4. "Fearless" by Taylor Swift. Admit it: she's amazing. Sure, this song is a little cheesy, but the shiny wet roads, dancing in a storm imagery is so summer it's a must for the trip.

5. "Island in the Sun" by Weezer. Finally, finally at the beach! What better song to chill out to once you're finally there.
