Daydreaming is one of my favorite things to do, because for just a few moments, interruptions from the outside world are meaningless. You can imagine yourself anywhere in the world, or creating those nostalgic memories again. It's also a great form of relaxation; you can create any environment, and nothing can bother you. With these songs, you can close your eyes, listen, and let the music take you to a new place.
1. Parachutes - Coldplay
One of my favorite songs, mainly because it's so succinct. The melody is so calm, and you could listen to it for hours. The only downside is that it is only 46 seconds, and you wish that it could on and on.
2. Nocturne In E Flat Major - Chopin
Since I first found this song in an old music book, I've always admired Chopin's ability for music. From his passionate songs to his gentle ones, all of them are genius compositions.
3. Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
It starts out with catchy strings, and from there you're hooked. I never knew what the lyrics were for this song, so when I looked them up, they're actually meaningful.
4. Who Says - John Mayer
Most of John Mayer's songs are pretty mellow, I just picked this one since he says stoned.
5. Snow [Hey Oh] - Red Hot Chili Peppers
The most upbeat song on this list, but I think it's good song to relax too. This song always cheers me up when something's wrong.
