My Playlist

Sometimes when I go on run and get bored I like to pretend that I am filming a movie with my eyes. The loud, usually upbeat music, elevated heartrate, and boredom naturally lends itself to an imagined movie. These five songs are ones that work especially well in my imagined vignettes.

1. Blinded by Rainbows Remix with The Saturns
Already a great song, that is made even better with the strong beat. This song would be great for some emotional climax in my imagined movies. Maybe a boy running away triumphantly from his home to some newfound freedom. His footfalls concide with the beat.

2. Two Weeks/Dead Prez Remix
Two great songs made into one. This song could be used while a character in my imagined movie is running triumphantly through neighborhoods - over fences through peoples backyards. Dogs, mailmen, and police are chasing him, but he doesn't care.

3. Hostile Gospel Deliver Us Pt. 1 Talib Kwali
It samples a great song and then continues with "I call these rappers seals, because they club you to death, I could call them NAVY seals because they're government fed"

4. Anything by Girltalk
The sheer number of songs in each girltalk track amounts to a great schizoprenic, stimulating audio treat. This could be in the background in a movie that follows a kid running along the sidewalk as he jumps over peeing dogs, realesteate signs, etc.

5. E- Pro
Jst a great song for running. It may not have many (or no) words but it does motivate your legs to move. This would be great in a movie about a runner. Maybe he is running a race to save cancer. And he not only wns the race, but cures cancer while doing it.

I get pretty bored while running
