This summer I went to Spain with my mom for two weeks. We stayed in Barcelona for the first few days, swimming in the Mediterranean and the hotel pool. I’d say that the pool was more enjoyable because there weren’t any old, leathery, naked people there. I was astounded by the looseness of their culture, where pretty much anything goes. When I went to Guell Park and La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi masterpieces, I was greatly inspired and thought that I could do anything I wanted. But wait, I live in America, where industry and special interest groups have total say over anything else. I think that America is sacrificing its beauty and happiness in order to become the most powerful country in the world. Why can’t we learn from “Great” Britain and see all the problems they caused, like drawing lines in Africa and exploiting its own and neighboring people to get some porcelain plates and pretty-smelling perfumes? Ok that’s enough ranting. I’ll save the rest of it for another time.
My favorite web site is http://www.facebook.com/, where I can connect with my friends and family anytime.
I love running cross-country and track, and that’s not going away so.
This is a picture of the cross-country team my freshman year. I’m the one kneeling on the very right. Sorry if i post this picture twice!
