Assignment Part 1

It will take me some time to figure out how to imitate my favorite writer's style and thus I start off by summarizing my writer's style. My favorite writer of all time is Diana Wynne Jones who was born in 1934 and attended St. Anne's College, majoring in English. A noteworthy point of hers is that she is British and it is this point which is giving me such a hard time in trying to imitate her writing style. Anyway, as far as I can tell, her writing style is:

1. introduction of the main character and important secondary characters and their exposition
2. the first conflict leads to the gradual introduction of all the supporting characters (takes a while)
3. action starts to pick up and the main character starts to have more conflicts and adventures
4. mysteries are presented
5. main character solves one mystery and then goes on to solve all the others
6. everything is revealed and the main character comes out of the conflict as a more mature person

Oh and I forgot to mention, Diana Wynne Jones uses a lot of descriptive words. Some of which seem to be a common trend (she uses negative and hurried words a lot).
