The thing about Embry is that I honestly don't know how she does it. She manages to make great grades and not spend a lot of time on homework, which I think is a gift from God. Her parents named her Embry because when her mom was pregnant, they kept talking about the "embryo", so they just dropped the o. Embry bowls, and she's really good at it. Even though I like to watch her get worked up when I talk about it not being a sport, I honestly think that it is (...kind of) a sport and that I admire her for being so good at it. She is really, really funny. We sit together in a lot of classes, and at lunch. She's really witty, and she always manages to say exactly what I'm thinking, just in a more clever way that I would have said it. I laugh until my stomach hurts almost every day. Embry is also really smart. Unlike most people, she's good at just about every subject. I ask her for math help all the time, even though it hurts my pride. I can't really decide what color she is. I guess a teal color...but if she were a place she would definitely be the beach.
The weird thing is that Embry and I are really different as people. But for some reason, we just click. We can (and do) talk about absolutely everything. And honestly, I'm really lucky to have an extension of my own sense of humor sitting next to me in English.
